Here's Andrew Sullivan from the New Republic, like Charles Krauthammer yesterday, explaining why Bush doesn't go to military funerals and pointing out that FDR and LBJ and Nixon and Carter didn't either. This latest "Leftist meme" going around--that Bush is cruel and heartless and doesn't care about the soldiers--is especially rich coming from the Left, which is hoping for an American defeat in Iraq. If you want us to lose, I think it means that you want the other side to kill so many of our guys that we bail out and give Iraq back to Saddam.

Here's an anonymous piece that's going around the Internet. I picked it up off Front Page; it's also appeared on Free Republic. If anybody knows who the original author is, please let us know. By the way, to my knowledge, neither Baghdad Bob Fisk nor Tikrit Tommy Alcoverro nor any other correspondent from La Vanguardia has ever admitted paying off the Iraqi Ministry of information nor being minded by a Ministry agent in Baghdad during pre-wartime or wartime.

This list has appeared in numerous venues, including Free Republic. Its contents are based upon the October 9, 2003, Press Conference of Paul Bremer, Coalition Provisional Authority Administrator -- The (Front Page) Editors.
